About the Show

Welcome to the "Not Your Neurotypical Podcast" - the show that opens discussions on how we can create a better school environment for neurodivergent kids. This podcast aims to bring neurodiverse adults to serve as a positive role model where they can reflect on their own challenges and how they overcame them. It serves to eradicate misinformation amongst neurotypical youth, and enable teachers to support their neurodivergent students better, as well as empower the neurodivergent youth demographic. Our aim is to educate and be educated. In a world where neurodivergent people are considered socially inept and outcasts, it is important to create a space for not just awareness but also advocacy. My goal as a host of this podcast is to provide hope for neurodivergent listeners and to educate neurotypical listeners. In each episode, we'll dive into the vast realm of neurodiversity, featuring inspiring conversations with experts, researchers, professors, parents, students, and many more. We'll discuss everything from autism and ADHD to dyslexia, anxiety, and beyond.

Together, we'll learn, we'll laugh, and we'll celebrate our differences, because being "not neurotypical" is not a limitation; it's a superpower.
